Affordability of Health Care Continues to Decline

NEWS INSIGHT According to a recent survey, among people with health insurance, the percentage who say they have a difficult time affording their health care costs has risen for the following components:

•premiums: up from 27% in 2015 to 37% in 2017

•deductibles: up from 34% in 2015 to 43% in 2017

•copays and prescription drugs: up from 24% in 2015 to 31% in 2017
